35 In order to remedy the difficulties encountered, the following measures have been envisaged by the coal office in agreement with the Virtschaft group of the Reichsprotektor: (a) Hard coal: provided that satisfactory carriage transport is provided and no other disruptions to the railway operation, the coal department will be able to supply the areas served by Ostrava in such a way that difficulties can occur only in individual cases and temporarily. This is the case with the organisational structure of the Ostrau coal syndicate dqzunauoany (b) lignite : First, the coal industry will try to increase dispatch to Hansbrandkohle. Whether this will be possible depends solely on the Sudetenland coal syndicate in Aussig. Dr Maloch, head of the coal sector, will go to Aussige on the 1 8th of October to resolve this question on the spot. At the same time Dr.Maloch will discuss the supply of the external syndicate on January 3rd, 194o as particularly distressingly given statlons. Prerequisite for this is allardings, that the branch of the foreign syndicate are able to meet corresponding dispositions in the short term. In the case of lignite, the unsuspecting rolling of the required coal will also depend on the ferrous railway (sufficient carriageway handling, non-inclusion of frost disturbances). A further increase in the planned delivery to Groß-Frag is to be expected from the fact that in the second week of January the so-called broken traffic was arranged over certain border stations. This ensures that these quantities do not go to individual consumers in preference, but in particular to small traders who are in need.
