In this context, the training measures currently being carried out for Prague by the Letow aircraft factory in cooperation with two leading Austrian factories are also to be mentioned, with the aim of training a total of 4000 workers. In the reporting period, 300 skilled workers were first assigned and the placement of the unskilled and female workers began. In Prague, the Lufthansa also hired 40 skilled workers. In the district of Klattau (Strakonitz), the Bohemian weapons factory was very capable in June; about 80 skilled workers and 45 auxiliary workers were hired. On this occasion, a number of Germans could also be accommodated in an appropriate way. Further German forces are scheduled for the coming weeks. Zbirower Eisenwerke in the district of Pilsen have started their operation again and are now working more in two shifts. In the same area, the Prague iron industry also took up around 50 predominantly female businesses. The largest iron-processing plant of the Protectorate, the Skodawerke, operates with full strength, with a follow-up of 27,900 men, and also in the Pardubitz district, the metalworking plants have a generally quite favourable employment situation. The company Wiesner in Chrudim hired 30 workers; the company Radiotechna in Pschelautsch received about 110 mostly female forces, the company Telegraphia in Pardubitz almost 170 and another operation at the place 25 workers.
