861 - 5 - Occupational group 2 Forestry: - Work in forestry, in particular in the removal of wind and snowfalls, has continued intensively, but has been hampered by the temporary release of forces for agricultural labour. This applies to Klattau and Pilsen, but above all to the forest areas of the Kladno district (Pürglitzer Forst), which has a total need of 5o0o forest workers. Since this need cannot be met either. approximately with domestic forces of the Protectorate, the approach of 100o Slovaks is intended to cope with the most urgent work. In the above-mentioned large forest districts the work is likely to continue until autumn, by the end of August at the latest. In the district of Königgrätz Gerbrindeschälen is in full swing, in Iglau for this is granted to a large extent operating leave. In the Olomouc district, more women have been released for forestry and Brno is continuously receiving voluntary reports for its activities in Bohemian forest districts. Occupational group 3 B e r g b a u : In the mining areas of the Protectorate, the good production and working situation in the reporting month has not been affected. For Kladno it is even described as extremely favourable. Pilsen reports full employment in the mining districts, the same is reported about the silver mine in Pibrans, which: pits in the Brno district and the Schwadonitz mine in the district of Königgrätz.
