6925 The Reichskommissar für Altmaterialverwertung Ordnung_Nr. 2/40 In addition to my measures taken in my order No. 1/40 of 20 February 1940 for the collection of waste materials and waste materials, I order the following for the purpose of increasing waste paper production: 1. The DAF's Office of Printing and Paper. On the basis of the authorization given to me by the deputy of the Fuhrer, I commission no. (a) The holdings of paper production, paper processing and printing shall arrange for their members to bring the waste paper produced in their households to be delivered to the holdings. (b) In the cities of Berlin and Düsseldorf, except for the enterprises referred to under (a) a record of the waste paper from the household of the members of all the enterprises is carried out on an experimental basis. The companies must make provision for a special representative to receive the waste paper regularly from the members of the company at the start of the operation and to store it separately according to newspapers and mixed waste. 3. The companies shall arrange for the trade to collect regularly the waste papers collected from them by their members. 4. Waste paper trading is obliged to pay the collecting companies the prices corresponding to the qualities (clean waste paper is more valuable in terms of price than natural paper, which is in the process of being broken down and must therefore be sorted in detail) and the proceeds from the waste paper must be made available to the collectives. 5. I am transferring the implementation of this collection to the Department of Printing and Paper of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront. The Gaubeauftragte für Altmaterialerfassung are to be informed continuously by the departmental heads of printing and paper about the progress of the actions. Berlin, 2 March 1940. The Reichskommissar für Altstofferverwertung: gez. Ziegler.
