English Translation
- 2 - 1.4. A secondment of deputy workers of the basic owner Podivinský explained to the there gendarmerie- the post,/workers could not stay in Hobitschau because the safety of their life was not ensured. The Czech teacher has left Hobitschau and does not want to return there any more. The Czech population is particularly disturbed by the fact that Podivinský, against whom the attack was directed, was probably arrested, but against the perpetrators at least not so far. As is reported, the reason for the riots against Podivinský dates back to earlier times. In the last week, the bitterness against him increased because he sold on his good Czech people from neighbouring communities forgery without the German population in Hobitschau to continue from this sale. The news is also said to have been a source of irritation that Podivinský refused to exchange his property, which is the result of the land reform, for other goods, perhaps located in the Czech territory. Since it has been stated that the possibility of further riots has to be expected, the request is made that measures be taken to protect the local Czech minority. The secret state police have spoken out against the confiscation of gendarmes for the purpose of maintaining peace in Hobitschau, because such a measure is suitable to provoke the German population.
