On May 20, 1940, a commission consisting of 4 officers of the 1⁄2-deadhead species in Brno-Schimitz, was published in the barracks of the local section in Fleischmarktgasse No.3, in order to take over the l2 riding horses from the local mounted section for the above-mentioned formation. This was done with the knowledge of the regional authority. The commission consisted of the following gentlemen: l. Chairman 4-(oversturmführer Bachmann 2. 2.Chairman: W-Untersturmfänger Kleinow 3. Administrator: g-UnstersturmFührer Lucht 4. Veterinarian : i-Oberstabsveterinär Ruthe. The Commission was able to present all the horses of the abbey individually and, after a thorough inspection, decided to take over the l2 youngest and best horses from the whole horse stand, although the head of the local police department, Dr. Jungwirt, was promised that the horses would be taken over half of the older horses with a view to the police service. As a replacement for the horses taken over, on 2l.5.40 the local mounted section of the police department in Moravia-Ostrava received 8 riding horses, of which 4 are not suitable for the police service, according to the veterinary report.
