- 2 - VCV to contribute to the war, - still had full validity, which is why the offer was superfluous. I still asked the President of the Republic that he and the Government should now turn to all the forces that were needed to make the frontline intervention of the government force popular with the Czech people to the very point of explaining the new war-necessary closure and closure measures to free the Czech population from further labour forces and to justify the necessity of their joyful observance. The President thanked him warmly for the communication and said literally that this rejection was a great pleasure for him and that he had fallen from the heart of it. He could not have imagined the terrible consequences of an acceptance of the offer by the leader for the mood of the Czech people. He also said literally that in the last few days he could never have imagined how he would have the courage to make his people clear and understand the front line of the government force. As a result, I would like to stress once again that without any German intervention, the order was voluntary from the Czech side and that he could have spared himself worries and sleepless nights if he had not made this offer which was irrelevant to us.
