English Translation

I must also assume that the Czech Lords are aware of the position of the Pührer, that in this war the Czech people do not have to fight with the weapon in hand against the enemies of the Empire, i.e. to bring no blood sacrifice for the kingdom, but only to make a contribution to the victory of the empire through labor until the last. If you, Minister, as the ambassador of the President of the Republic, nevertheless today, and in which you are all aware of the present anti-rich attitude of a part of the Czechs, officially request me to approach the leader so that the government force can take an active part in the fight against the enemies of the Empire, then I must have for the time being - in order to be able to continue this politically as powerful request at all - spoken an open word with you and have received some ambiguities. I am not at present in a position to honestly believe that the offer by the President of the Republic and the Government is well thought out and really serious. I therefore ask you to ask the President-in-Office again first whether he and the government have considered this step with all its consequences.
