General situation and mood: The fatal accident of the Reich Minister Dr. Todt has caused great dismay and sorrow among the entire German population and is currently at the forefront of political interest. One generally regrets the leader, who in such a tragic way loses one after the other of his best employees, so that one can now see a state funeral in almost every weekly show. Time and again the assumption is expressed that the accumulation of such accidents can only be explained by sabotage. It is also evident that the Reichsminister Dr.Todt was obviously particularly loved in the broadest sections of the population and is considered hardly replaceable. The Czechs are also very impressed; in Germany's hostile intelligence circles, it is intimidatedly claimed that Reichsminister Dr. Todt, as well as the leaders who had previously been injured, had been "murdered" because of internal political differences of opinion. Among the German population, however, the numerous convocations to the Wehrmacht are in the foreground of interest, while among the Czechs the rumors about confiscation to the employment service, etc., continue unchanged. According to the reports available so far, the radio speech of Minister Moravec on the seclusion of the Czech Wintsrsachensammlung did not receive any particularly strong attention.
