The second possible field of activity, which is closely linked to the above-mentioned, is the aspiration of the nobility to attain the leading role in Czech political organizations, as in Czech life at all. Here the nobility benefits from the fact that the previous Masonic-liberal-Jewish orientation of the "leaders" layer is largely discredited. The need for new ground-linked men is felt everywhere. The necessity of political symbols has pushed St.Wenzels' thoughts with the Catholic-constituent thought processes into the foreground. These moments are too good for the nobility's aspirations. For under Habsburg influence, as is shown in detail under B, the Bohemian nobility was aligned in the period after l62o, deschei- dend catholic. This catholic orientation, by the way, is another fact that makes it more effective in the growth of its pro-British functions and creates international support in its position. From these greens one will have to assume that the aspiration of the nobility to the leading role in the Czech ieben, also the support of decisive foreign policy factors, finds. These efforts, however, undoubtedly find a certain objective support in the historical achievements of the Bohemian nobility in the country of Bohemia. The awareness of this is alive in the nobility, but also in certain parts of the Czech people.
