Behaviour of the population: a) German population: The victorious and rapid advance of the German trup= pen in Poland is followed with attention and enthusiasm by the people of Germany. The German army's armaments' fame greatly strengthens self-confidence and, in many cases, awakens the desire to help voluntarily, whether as a soldier, in border service or at the Ro= ten Cross.
