STATE SECRETARY TO THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 1750, sig. 109-4/1505
English Translation
The distribution of tasks between broadcasting and post was different from that of the Reich in the Protectorate. After the introduction of a regulation in accordance with the Reich principles, the post office transferred part of its technical offices in the broadcasting houses of Moravia-Ostrava, Brno and Prague to the Czech Radio G.m.b.H. These are fixed installations, equipment, materials and personnel. With this transfer of responsibilities, the TRG has incurred considerable new expenditure. The postal administration now also requires the payment of the technical equipment and materials, which it has financed from the broadcasting fee, in the amount of 500,000.-- lk. The Czech Broadcasting Corporation (G.m.b.H.) is not entitled to pay the amount of 500,000 Mkl from budget funds, if such a claim for payment by the postal administration should be considered justified. It has already, taking into account the fact that the postal administration could manage to enforce a payment claim, withheld the amount of 70,00 Mk in the balance sheet as at 31.12.41, instead of using this amount to reduce overvalued assets, and to increase undervalued liabilities on the balance sheets as at 31.12.41. These reporting items represent a reduction of the assets for the Moravian,-Ostrava property by 58,000.-- Mc. and the consideration of contractually guaranteed clearance claims for terminated members of society in the amount of at least 15,000.--1k. altogether 73,000.-lk. If the entitlement of the postal service's claim is actually recognised, we should refrain from the necessary balance sheet reports, so that only 70,000 Mk would be available; the additional 430,000 mk requirement should not be accommodated in the budget; a one-off grant should be requested to compensate for this requirement. On this occasion, it must be pointed out by the Czech Broadcasting Corporation that the demand for mail is based solely on the transfer of tasks which it itself has undertaken, and the technical equipment and materials which are invoiced today have been created exclusively from the postal share of the number of listeners' fees. The TRG takes over with these plants in the end
