1a with the group I/1o little fruited; in particular, Oberschulrat Fitzek repeatedly tended to the line of direct agreements with the exclusion of the German ministerial representatives. Recently, a separate initiative of the Ministerial Council of Naudé, which, for example, only started a few days ago without prior contact with the German representatives of the Ministry of Education and without obvious reason measures against the current Czech vice-president of the Provincial Council of Bohemia, Dvořak, with the aim of his dismissal or retirement. If, in the last case, Naudé's formal competence was given in his capacity as the Presiding President of Bohemia, at least a preliminary understanding of the Ministry of Education would have been appropriate. All these events have led to embarrassing situations repeatedly in recent times, and have meant, in practice, a considerable ignominy of the reputation of the German representatives in the Ministry of Education before their subordinates as well as in the entire German school sector of the Protectorate. In order to avoid these ambiguities, the idea has long been expressed in professional circles of German schoolmen that, in addition to close cooperation between Reichsprotector and the Ministry of Education, it would be desirable to link the official activities of both bodies. In particular, the German representatives in the Ministry of Education were interested in this question and gave suggestions on several occasions in advance. On the occasion of the demise of the school councillor Fielitz, the head of the Volks- und Bürgerschulreferente of the group I/1o at the Reichsprotector, the proposal was made to unite in the person of the Oberregierungs- und Schulrat Langhans the corresponding department with the Reich Protector and in the school ministry. Rumours about an imminent elimination of the High School Council Fitzek, the headmaster for high schools in Group I/1o, gave rise to similar suggestions with the aim of a personal union in the hands of senior study director Willinger. The withdrawal of the head of the group I/1o, ministerial councillor Hansel, in recent days seems to have made a particularly topical point of view on these issues. 9L9C8
