Subject: Establishment of a Kraftomnilaitnie Reichenberg - Pardubitz As I have learned, the Sudetengau transport companies in Reichenberg have requested from you permission to set up and operate a bus line Reichenberg-Maffersdorf-Gablonz-Liebenau-Turnau-Jitschin-Horschitz-König-Grätz-Pardubitz. The main reason for the request is that the existing transport links between the Gauhauptøstadt Reichenberg and the Ost-Sudetengau * do not meet the current requirements sufficiently and therefore urgently require improvement. The efforts to establish a Kraftomnibus line Reichenberg -Pardubitz had been taken up after the Deutsche Reichsbahn had had to reject the establishment of a direct D-train connection Reichenberg – Troppau, which had been requested in November 1942 and March 1943, with regard to the fulfilment of important tasks of war and in view of the mandatory measures to save vehicles, spare parts and raw materials, in particular in the field of service coal supply. Although attempts to improve transport links between the Gauhauptstadt and the Ost-Sudetengau seem justified in themselves, it can at present not be held responsible in view of the current extremely tense situation in bus and coach transport, on the l3o km long, for the most part parallel to the rail section
