The new organisational and business distribution plan provides for a veterinary department at the Health Office, but has been expressed in the preface, which is to be established by the police administration an independent veterinary office as soon as the timing permits. In an attribution from the Reichsprotektor in Bohemia and Moravia dated 4.5.1942 No. I/7-5550 to the Special Envoy for the Reorganisation of the City AdministrationPrague, it is announced that a new government decree of the Ministry of the Interior has already been signed, according to which the conditions of the veterinary system in the Protectorate are to be adapted to those in the Reich area. In the rural and urban districts a veterinary office should be set up, which should be taken into account in the restructuring of the organisation of the municipal administration in Prague. A veterinary office is therefore to be established in place of department 403 at the health office. The responsibility of the veterinary department is the same as that of veterinary division 403. At the meeting of the post plan for the slaughterhouse and the livestock farm it proved useful to assign the veterinary duties previously reserved for the slaughter and livestock farm administration in the cattle farm and in the meat market hall to the veterinary office. The slaughterhouse and livestock farm has up to now 5 veterinarians available for this task, but the slaughterhouse director states that this number is too high. 3 veterinarians are planned for this. The business attack in the livestock farm and in the meat market - hall changes very strongly in extent. The veterinarians therefore have to help each other out.
