672 06 registrar's office . The personnel law affairs for the Germans resident in Prague concerned the registry office at the Oberlandrat. It is to be expected that these assignments will be transferred later to the city administration. If necessary, a German department will be set up at the registry department of the city. For the non-German population of Prague, the weddings, with the exception of the Jews, are provided by the Presidential Chancellery, and all other personnel law transactions by the Subscription Office. The new organizational plan provides for the summary of all assignments in a registry office. In the Oberlandrat there are two alternates and five employees. In the Presidential Chancellery, the marriages are carried out on the basis of the confirmations of 1 official issued by the Conciliation Office. The latter task is difficult and extensive. The civil status law for members of the Protectorate covers only those persons who do not belong to a church or a religious society that is not recognized by the state. The churches are responsible for the other cases. In 1940 there were 675 births, 6l87 marriages and 1234 deaths from cases to be dealt with. 28 officials were employed with these businesses and 7873 church exits , of which 2O branches and 8 officials were responsible for the Conscrip- tion Department .
