Copy. Number: 428 B-Prüs./1947. The 20th Mar 1941. To the department l6 of the state authority in PraE. Subject: Municipality of Prague/ Poor care of Jewish relatives. The standpoint of the division l6 is untenable and in no way triangulates the present account. It is not possible to draw up the provisions of the law on the matter here, because they were created under very different conditions and were determined by very different circumstances. At the present juridical position of the Jews in the German district and the district, after their complete elimination from the public life of the municipality of Prague, it will be possible to continue to pay for Jewish residents support from Nitteln, which flows from the German and Czech population for German and technical purposes. This can be much more exclusively a matter of Jewish associations themselves, and the Geneinde of Prague has acted correctly if it leaves the support to the Jewish organizations designated for this purpose and does not interpret existing laws formally, but prefers that these cesetzes are of course only applicable to full-value citizens. However, this is no longer the case with Jews today. I therefore order you, in amendment of your decision, to reject the complaints of the Jews concerned and to inform the ministry of the interior of this position of the state authority. E% Mr. Vice-Presidents with the request for information.
