English Translation

In this context, both Reichsministers expressed their view that the comparative levels in the Directives on the granting of compensatory allowances to the German staff of the Autonomous Protectorate Administration of 12 August 1940, together with the subsequent amendments, have been chosen too low in general terms. In the calculation of compensation allowances in the above-mentioned directives, the basic principles were laid down for the imperial grades in which the staff of the autonomous protectorate administration were to be classified according to their education and training and according to the official content of the posts held by them in accordance with the Reich's valuation guidelines. According to the agreed view of the two ministries, only in a few cases can a change occur when the individual posts are compared with the corresponding groups of the Reichsbehaltungsordnung. The Reichsministers of Finance and the Interior have reserved their final opinion until they are fully aware of the proposals for the improvement of pay in the Protectorate. I myself am able to make a final statement on whether there are concerns about the planned reorganization, even after knowledge of the details planned for the implementation of the remuneration improvement, and I would therefore be grateful for the timely review of the corresponding drafts. In order not to delay the further consideration of the matter, I may leave the intended regulation to the ministers of finance and the interior.
