Pause. Introduction: There note of 26.2.1940. Ann.: 2. The further investigations about S c m u d have revealed the following: He is described as a diligent lawyer who has revised himself in recent years and suffers from a nerve breakdown. Sch. is described as a loner who can never be seen together with his wife and children. At present he suffers greatly under persecution. Because of his nerve damage he went to the sanatorium in Eichwald to find rest there. An improvement of his condition does not seem to have arisen. In Eichwald, he suddenly believed that his wife wanted to bring a divorce suit against him and called on various lawyers to assist him. Thus, the rumor that Dr. Schmued was suffering from mental disorders, as reported in the report there, seems to be quite true.
