A SOCIETY FOR THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 577, sig. 109-4324
English Translation
- 2 - Vlajka youth. Furthermore, the Vlayka leadership has again expressed its opinion in writing against the youth work of Minister Moravec. Vlajka youths, who were to participate in the board of trustees' camp and who had remained loyal to the Vlayka as members until then, were quickly excluded from the Vlajka on the grounds that they had maintained ties with the board. Again, it was the Vloyka youth leader Jiři Novotný who gave the order. The translation of a corresponding letter of exclusion dated 1 July 1942, the Czech original of which is available at SD-LA Prague, is accompanied by proof. Both events give rise to the questionable political role played by the former Vlajka youth leader Jiří Novotný. Arrested by the state police station in Prague is thus also fully justified. How difficult this blow hit the Vlajka leadership can be concluded from a letter addressed by the Vlajka leader Jan Rys to 41-stable leader Böhme on 22 July 1942; under the affirmation of the clean political attitude of Novotný, we are asked to intervene for this. On 25.7.1942 Rys sent a letter to μ-Standartenführer Böhme again, in which it is claimed in bold form that Novotný is "physically ill treated" in the Pankratzer prison. This insinuation deserves sharpest rejection. The BdS representative 44-Stastarten Führer Geschke was informed accordingly. However, it remains to be considered in addition whether further measures against the Vlajka youth are already appropriate, since they are likely to continue to agitate against the youth curatorium and to continue in their hostile attitude, which has been proven up to the last few days, although Rys has formally dissolved the Vlajka youth by means of a successful move on 1.7.1942, but at the same time created a new section 18/21.
