Vladislav II. Jagello (147l - 1516) was also crowned in the usual manner on August 22nd in 471. Ludwig (1516 - 1526), the son of Vladislaw Jagellos received the crown on May 1, 1509 as a four-year-old boy. A new coronation of Lud- wig took place only upon his accession to the government on May 9th in 1522. His wife Maria von Habsburg was crowned the following day. Here, as well as in the coronation of the successor Ferdinand I. v. Habsburg_(1526 - 1564), there were disputes between the representatives of the provinces, who disputed the privilege of asking the crown insignia in the solemn elevation.
