English Translation
43 M e m o r a n d u m . Subject: Linking the territory of Moravian-Ostrava and Olsa (Teschen with Auschwitz) with the Gau Sudetenland. With the victorious end of the Polish campaign, wide areas of the former Polish state have also been included in the administration of the Great German Empire, among which the old Silesian principalities, Teschen and Auschwitz-Zator, claim a special interest for the government district of Troppau and thus for the Reichsgau Sudeten. The Teschener Land: 1.) Historical: Just like the core country of the government district Troppau. is also the territory of Teschen-Bielitz ancient Silesian Bo- den. Like this, however, it has never been Prussian, but formed with it the Kronland Austrian Silesia. This Kronland remained unchanged as an administrative unit until 1918, only in the period from 1782-1850 it was annexed to the Kronlande Moravia. This former Duchy of Teschen includes the cities: Bielitz, Silesian-Ostrava, Freistadt, Friedek, Jablunkau, Karwin, Oderberg, Skotschau and Teschen. From geopolitical considerations, the old Principality of Auschwitz with the important German language island can be attributed to him.
