English Translation
Reichsjustizministerium 20. Dezember 1939 Berlin W 8, the State Secretary Dr. Freisler Wilhelmstraße 65 A 1 Jäger 0044 To Mr. State Secretary F r a n k 2 In November the Commission sent a list of senior officials to be appointed by the German judicial authorities in the Protectorate. Following this letter, the more detailed documents for the officials to be appointed have been forwarded to the Justice Group, but a communication has not been received at the time of the request for approval of the proposed appointments. I would be very grateful if you would accept the request and arrange for the opinion to be communicated as soon as possible; as you know, the proposals for appointments still have to be sent to the deputy of the leader; their examination by the party takes some time. My intention to introduce all the officials to be appointed by the German judicial authorities in the Protectorate into their posts in a uniform manner with effect from 1 October l939 can no longer be achieved now, since such an admission can only be discussed retroactively for a maximum of three months. Under these circumstances, the people's Germans in Bohemia and Moravia, whose appointment is p.4-1-A8, will become, of course.
