F.Rudl Translation 261x1 The Atlantic Charter of August 12, 1941 The President of the United States and the Prime Minister of Great Britain have signed the following statement: "The president of the U.S. and Prime Minister Mr. Churchill, as representatives of His Majesty's government in the United Kingdom, have met at sea. They were accompanied by officials of both governments, including high officers of the army, the navy and the Luftwaffe. The whole problem of providing war ammunition for the armed forces of the United States and for those countries that resist the attack - as provided for by the loan and lease law - was further examined. Lord Beaver-brook, Minister of Supply in the British Government, also attended these conferences and will continue to go to Washington to discuss further details with the relevant officials of the United States Government, which will also cover the supply problems of the Soviet Union. The President and the Prime Minister held several conferences. They have considered the dangers posed by the world civilization by the policy of military domination by the rise of the Hitler regime in Germany and the other governments allied with it, and have underlined the efforts of their countries in the face of these threats to their security. They agree on the following joint statement: "Joint statement by the President of the United States of America and Prime Minister Mr. Churchill, as the representative of His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom, who after meeting, considers it right to announce certain common principles in the national policies of their countries on which they base their hopes for a better future of the world. They do not want to see any territorial changes that do not correspond to the freely expressed will of the peoples in question.
