52 Poet Prize of the magazine "Böhmen und Mähren". Why a poet prize of the journal "Bohmen and Mähren" ? The events of 1938 and l939 have forever restored the millennia-old fateful bond between Bohemia and Moravia and the Empire, which lgl8 had been abolished for two years in a disastrous recognition of historical and political reality. At all times, this connection has not only been a political, state-law or economic, but also a cultural one. Everywhere in Bohemian-Moravian space, architectural and artistic monuments, village and city complexes are interested in the achievements of the dautschen settlers and city founders. The German culture has worked out thousands of times from the Reich into the Bohemian-Moravian region and permeated him and his people. *The repercussions on the Reich as a result of this are equally diverse. Last but not least, the relations between the Reich and Bohemia and Moravia have been of crucial importance for German poetry. The German law firm language was developed, which has become the basis of today's German written language. At the turn between the Middle Ages and modern times, the wonderfully mature and unique argument between man and death, the "Ackermann aus Böhmen" of John of Saaz, was written in it. In this room, in Karlovy Vary and later in Marienbad and Eger, a Goethe has received the most important impulses for his work through 4 decades of his life. Adalbert Stifter, whose work has not yet been exhausted, Rainer Maria Rilka, who has exerted a tremendous influence on the entire newer German poetry, but also popular German poets of our time such as Karl Hans Strobel, Hans Watzlik, Robert Hohlbaum, Bruno Brehm, have emerged from this space and have created their works out of the fate that made them here. The magazine "Böhmen und Mähren" has become 30. ..$-48
