14 4 April 1941. 1. To Mr. W. Christoffers, Dresden-N.6, 4. VI. 1941 Angelikastrasse 1. Dear Mr. Christoffers! On the one hand, I was very pleased with your letter of 30.v.M., on the other hand I was shocked by the news of the hero death of our dear Michaelsen at the side of your brave nephew, Kapi- tän z.S. Krüder. During the time of our seafaring together in the far north, I too have come to know and appreciate Captain Michaelsen as an upright and brave man and will keep him in faithful memory. If I come through Dresden again, I will call him. I would be very pleased if we could exchange old memories of the very beautiful common Spitsbergen ride. Please greet your wife Gemahlin and Klaus very warmly from me. I wish you all the best. Goodbye and Salvation Hitler! Your 2nd Z.d.A. 9-10/4
