9a Mr. Gauhauptmann Dr. Anton Kreißl then reported on the work of the preparatory committee, which had already paid RM 25,200 from the fund to the artists for the execution of the major orders in monthly instalments, which was made available by the Gauleifer for the immediate start of the work carried out. The same fund made it possible to obtain a home in order to offer a new home to a national German writer in our Gau. The third task, which the preparatory committee has undertaken with the help of the artists' aid fund from the Propaganda Office, concerns individual measures to promote artistic achievements and events. A fourth important task is the creation of a home as a meeting place for all cultural workers and a place for social events. Following this, Mr Gauhauptmann announced the statutes of the Sudetenland Art Association, which was approved by the President of the Reich Chamber of Fine Arts by decree of 5 May 41. He explained the structure of the association as well as the essential tasks, informed the registration in the association register and handed over the continuation of the business to the now existing art association. The applause with which this report was included meant at the same time the consent of the assembly to the preparations made. According to § 7 of the statutes, the chairman of the association is the Gauleiter, his representative the Gauhauptmann.
