1 General abstract_V/3_ Prague, 29 December 1944. V/3 - U. 2146/44. Inlsteramt g: - 2nd JAN. 1945 To the ministerial office in the house L4 30. X11.44 by the hand of the head of department V. Subject: SD. daily report of the leading section Prague of l9.l2.1944, No. l09/44 sale of Christmas trees. Since the beginning of the Christmas markets, including the sales offices of Christmas trees, l6 control pairs of the Magistrates Prague were used for price monitoring. The difficulties encountered especially in selling Christmas trees stem from the fact that the Ministry of Transport and Technology has prohibited the position of freight wagons for the carriage of Christmas trees and has only allowed the use of trucks for Christmas trees as a return freight. Since this measure, which hinders the supply of goods, was known to the population, a general storm began at the outlets and in the further course of a mutual offer not only in amounts of money, but also in exchange goods, such as cigarettes. In addition, several members of the Wehrmacht, who were allowed a preferred purchase by the Ördnungspolizei, bought in most cases several trees / up to lo pieces / and thereby increased the demand of the civil audience. There were, of course, precise price regulations. At the main outlets at the Kohlmarkt and Jungmannsplatz there were constantly control bodies, the other control bodies checked the other sales outlets and Christmas markets on a case-by-case basis. All in all, l6l price violations in this area in Prague were punished. 4Pr 44. o a eege direbabe goio teridois / 1t7 45. M i n lf C St.M. TM- 1/45
