Ernst Horn, Rothau, 2 October I942. 4 Rothaù near Graslitz. (Sudetengau.) .a of the State Secretary Lo Reicasprotector in Bohemia and Moravia. Mr. Eing.: - 5. OKT. 1942 State Secretary K.H.F r a n k Prague Dear Mr. State Secretary I Please do not be angry with me if I bother you again today with my lines. I have been to Prague these days and have allowed myself to visit you, Mr. Secretary of State, personally. I had to find out, to my greatest regret, that you are out of town. I have tried to speak to your Minister's Councillor Dr. Gies, but I was not allowed to attend because I was unannounced. Mr. Secretary of State,I would like to thank you most sincerely for accepting me and wanting to be bi-helpful in obtaining a leading position in Prague or the surrounding area. From the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Labour in Prague, the Ministry made my submission to the Head of the Labour Office in Prague with a recommendation.Since I did not hear from the Employment Office,I am at home for the 8th week,I went to Prague on Monday, September 28th, and auditioned at the Employment Department. From the employment office in Prague I learned that this office does not have the necessary posts at all, because these posts are usually directly occupied by the fitmen and after that only the employment offices communicate from the occupation. At the instigation of the employment department I have the business manager Mr. Ing. Hofmann and the secretary Mr. Weber visited the Eisen- und Metallindustrie group in the Wassergasse, who also called it in this regard, but without success. I had no success with the above mentioned Aemter, I auditioned with H.Ing. Fert Director of the Municipal Works Prague in Holéschowitz. From these gentlemen I have learned that the municipal utilities are looking for a German gentleman with Czech language skills for their workshops.According to the statements of H. Dir. Fert, I would be the right gentleman for these departments. I would like to submit an application and I will then hear the next one. Mr. Secretary of State,I am now applying for this post and would like to ask you to support me in my application. In the case of municipal works, I was also informed about the question of content and since the salary of the municipal works is considerably lower than what I had here, where people live much cheaper than in the city, I would also like to ask you, Mr. Secretary of State, to help me on the question. b. w.
