In March l935 he became a Member of the SdP, where he later worked as a district press officer. With the foundation of the Voluntary Protection Service (FS), he became a member of the FS. He continued to be a Member of the BaD and the German Turnverband. As a student he belonged to the country team "Egerländer Landtag".
