The Oberlandrat 43 Piljen Pilsen, ben 2l. December 1939. Hus-Straße 15 - Husova 15 Phone No. 2234. Vonany! L 6161+2 29. To the Secretary of State SS Group leader K.H. Frank personally in P ra g, Czernin-Palais. Subject: Position of the L. Magistrate Council / Mayor / in Pilsen. --- At the request of Minister Piesbergen, I report on the progress of the negotiations on the occupation of the above post as follows: At the end of July, after agreement had been reached with the head of the district, I had already sent a report to Mr Reichsprotektor, in which I presented my statement to him for the establishment of a German second mayor and asked for help in the procurement of a suitable personality, since neither I nor the head was known as a suitable person. In the middle of September, the circle leader informed me that he had found an applicant in the person of Dr. Sturm in Karlovy Vary. We agreed that I should first examine the financial side carefully, and then ask Dr. Storm for an introduction. Based on camouflage, I called on the city administration to provide a detailed overall location plan, which was sent to me after about 8 days. I immediately wrote to Dr. Sturm and asked him for a visit, which also took place at the beginning of October. After the personnel side, this visit was quite positive, but a final explanation could not be made for this, because Dr. Sturm, as he told me, is currently earning around lloo.- RM and the difference is currently too great for the salary of the job in question. I then said Dr. I wanted to clarify to Mr Reichsprotektor whether and to what extent the references of the position could be raised.
