06 ur 0 The German Minister of State. St.H. 319/44. Black market purchases in the Protectorate. There. Letter from 12.6.1944 - Signs 11 2/1 - 1131/44. Y 1. VII. 1944 1.) To the Lord Reichswirtschaftsminister, Berlin c2, Neue Königstrasse 27-37. On the report sent to me by the Regional Economic Office of Weser-Ems of 8.3.1944 I say the following: In the autumn of 1943, in the Protectorate of the German Security Police, an attempt was made by a wholesale company in Prague to penetrate certain circles of the Sohwarz- and Schleichhandel, in order to get to know the persons involved in these transactions and their methods, but above all to establish the production sites of the goods offered for purchase correctly. The Pirma Schulz-Gärtner was turned on. Hermann Schulz from Hamburg, at that time buyer of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, had been working in the Protectorate since July l943; however, he left the processing of this area to his managing director Friedrich Wilhelm Gärtner from Bremen. The activities of Pirma Schulz-Gärtner were clearly defined from the outset and limited to a maximum of six months. The documents and reports obtained through their work were handed over to the German Criminal Police, as far as an executive intervention was possible and expedient. At the prosecutor's office in Prague are currently L.M---121/h4
