Prague, 30 August 1940. 18 Mr. Ing. Karl K u c h i n k a, Director General of the Witkowitz Mining and Ironworks Union, Witcowitz. Mr. Director-General, I would like to make a brief presentation of the following for myself, as former officials of the Continental Iron and Steel Trade Company, Prag, of a serious matter and to ask you, as the chief executive, for your good decision. More than a year ago I left the tube mill Albert Hahn and gladly followed the call of the Continentals for a tube specialist and entered it as a commercial official. I have provided my knowledge and experience with pleasure and through objective work contributed to the execution of the aryanization and/or reconstruction process essential. As a concrete achievement, I can show the improvement of the Swiss prices for precision tubes that have been stimulated by me for many months and have also been achieved with success. I would also like to point out my tireless diligence, which eventually led to the total exhaustion of my cages. Mr. Hans Kuchin- ka, therefore, repeatedly drew attention to the lack of staff, which is known to him, and asked him, at least temporarily, to remedy the work or the Armaturia. Unfortunately, my proposal was seen as unworkable and therefore not accepted. By unfortunate illness of a proven force a further reduction of the existing labour force occurred and thus an unbearable overload of the two departments led by me. A few months ago, unpleasant mistakes were made in two business cases, which were not caused by my fault, but for which I cannot be held responsible, as a factual review must show. Nevertheless, these two cases were ascribed to me, which is why I strongly defended myself and at the same time drew the consequences and announced my position until the complete explanation of the incident, now Mr. You. Hans Kuchinka has my resignation after
