99 KARLSBAD/PRAG 13 April 1943 THE FUHRERS OF THE MOTOR GROUP EGERLAND Stellv. Reichsprotector AND NSKK.-CONTINUING FUHRER in Bohemia and Moravia TO THE PROTECTOR PO Sanatn IN BOHMEN AND MÄHREN General Oberst der Polizei Daluege P rag BBNR.: B-M Ch 17/43/F/Po. Very revered Oberstgruppenführer! With your personal oath of 19.3.1943, you informed me of your concerns about the excessive use of the Germans living in the Protectorate to the intended transport control service. I myself have full understanding of the use of my men in the war economy and I would like to stress explicitly that it was, or will be, the intention of the Corps to deprive its men of their war-related professional work only on an hourly basis. On the other hand, the NskK. leader and man is happy to work as a National Socialist and political soldier in his free time beyond his professional duties and fulfils the tasks assigned to the NSK in the transport and motor vehicle sector. In Bohemia and Moravia, I ask the NSKK.-man's activity to be evaluated in exactly the same way as that of the political leader, SA or SS-man of the general SS, who voluntarily serves and prepares for additional work. I believe that it is precisely in the sign of the total war that the politically consolidated and exemplary human being cannot be dispensed with. On this occasion, I would like to draw attention to the excellent cooperation between the NSKK and the German police and security police, in particular the measures provided for and the operation in the context of the war investigation b. 141
