STATE SECRETARY FOR THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 1931, sig. 109-6/23

Y3 - 3 of the Reichsverkehrsminister, among other things, was the fact that in the rest of the empire the NSKK Transport Assistance Service was set up and the NSCK was strong in numbers. The question whether a NSKk Transport Assistance service could be set up in the Protectorate during the war was denied after a thorough examination. The decisive factor for the decision was that the German police have different tasks for Bohemia and Moravia than in the rest of the Reich and that the Czech police are sufficiently strong to meet the demands. Also, the broad base of the NSKK is missing. It has therefore been used by the Czech Police. The general commander of the uniformed protectorate police issued the order from the annex under the 1st of August l942 according to which several inspectors have already been deployed by the protectorate's police to monitor road traffic on the road. 4 My group of road traffic has also employed two employees who work according to special instructions. The NSKK's takeover of the road traffic control service would mean that NSKC members would have to be pulled out of the businesses and authorities at any time of the day. Here the question has to be raised whether this, the NSKK man, as well as the enterprises, can be held responsible for extremely burdensome measures, because in contrast to the rest of the Reich area the Czech police/peace-like strength-in-ke is active and does not require a relief. On the other hand, I would very much like the NSKK to be involved in large-scale checks by the German police, in search operations, in the ordering of motor vehicles for the purposes of the Wehrmacht, in large operations by motor vehicles or in similar tasks, as before with best success. In accordance with the regulations in the rest of the Reich, I would ask the Road Transport Group to submit proposals for a review of the existing driving schools by the decree of the Minister of Transport of l6.12.I937 - K 5. 14 oll.
