- 45 - The bearer of these thoughts is Ryba, the former Gauleiter of Ung.-Hradisch, who has since left the Vlajka, with his personal attachment. On the occasion of a commemoration of the founding day of the SIowak Republic in Zlin, a first meeting of Rybas with representatives of the Office for Slovak Foreign Affairs in Bratislava took place, in which concrete agreements on the political work of Ryba were reached in the future. Among other things, the publication of a newspaper "Moravský Slovák" Ç"The Moravian Slovak" was cancelled, which is to be published in Czech and Slovak as well as in Moravian-Slovak dialect. Regarding the financial security of the newspaper, one relied on certain commitments made by the Bata director Hlavnička. In order to counteract Ryba's efforts, the Vlajka held a little advertising meeting with Rys on April 20th. Rys warned against the political movements of Rybas, who will end up with his separatism once and for all, where it will certainly not be possible for him. Ryba's intentions after the separation of Moravian regions were hostile to the rich, as the Reich government had expressly promised the Czechs territorial inviolability. The idea of a special political summary of the Moravian Slovaks up to the plan of connecting the territories they inhabited to Slovakia has been repeated since the Munich Agreement in 1938. In the months following the establishment of the Protectorate, the Moravian fascists (Mario) in particular worked a lot with the ideology of Moravian-Slovak independence and called for official relations with Slovak authorities. A certain focus of this "Slovak irredenta" has always been the Slovak association "Bradlo" in Zlin, which once again offered the opportunity to meet representatives from Slovakia through its anniversary events on the day of the founding of Slovakia. The Bata director Hlavnička also played a role in earlier years as a promoter of the separatist intentions. In the OLB Zlin there is a general trend among the rural population, the Slovak radio had announced on 28.4. that the leader of Slovakia had promised to join the districts Gaya, Göding, Ung.-Brod, UnG.-Hradisch, Zlin and Wall.-Klobouk. As a follow-up date, the 4 May; the rumor has found much faith among the landowners and aroused considerable enthusiasm.
