Vh - 27 - The individual district associations of the "Arimathcum" are in administrative terms mostly affiliated to the Volkssparkasses. The number of members has increased considerably recently. The Czech Association of Catholic Women and Mädchen is a very important instrument for the preservation of the lay foundation and the position of the former Catholic People's Party for the Church. On 16 March, the General Assembly of this organization took place in Brno in the presence of numerous spiritual leaders. Countess Elisabeth Belcredi was elected as the new president, who accepted the election at the special request of Cardinal Kašpar and Archbishop Prčan of Ol-Mütz. The clergy were specifically instructed by the Archbishop's consistories to work actively in the association in order to have in the future quite many and good Catholic families for the maintenance of the Czech people. In the context of the liturgical endeavours, a lack of church servants was noted so far. The Ministrant Association "Legio Angelica", which now already counts of the 3500 members under the leadership of catechist Pavelka, strives to make this lack more favourable by a generous propaganda wave among young people, especially among school-mates. The Catholic Gymnastics Association Orel_ has paid the greatest attention to the clergy In recent weeks, meetings, meetings and educational courses have been held in all the Gauen and at the local associations. In these cases, the leaders pointed out that the Orel was the most important structure of the Catholic Church, whose national orientation was recognized everywhere.
