STATE SECRETARY FOR THE REAL PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 1898, sig. 109-5/126
English Translation
He only agreed to an amnesty for arrested and punished Vlajka members and the recruitment of any--no persecution of Vlayka members by the protectorate authorities. On this occasion Rys also called for a solution to the Masonic question and the elimination of former Masons, Rotary members and semi-Jews from the Protectorate administration as well as all public bodies. It was impossible for a Vlajka member of the government to sit at a table with a Mason and it was surprising that the Minister of Education Kapras (former Mason) had appointed the Mason Dr. Novotny as the archivist of the National Museum. (For this purpose, Deputy Prime Minister Krejči has confidently declared that his knowledge is already a German action against the Freemasons in preparation for the implementation). In the course of the discussion, Rys also proposed an active participation of the Czechs in the war with the indication that the Vlajka would guarantee to raise 2,500 to 5,000 reliable, military-led Czechs. However, the proposal was rejected by Hácha, because according to his information the leaders did not expect them. At the end of the discussion, Rys was then called upon by Hácha to hold a hearing on NG leader Eousak, to which Rys agreed if the matter was mediated by the President so that Vlajka would not be suspected of making pacts with NG. The expected date for a meeting between Fousek and Rys was 17.1l.1941.
