The enemy has recently used balloons for various purposes, which he sends into the homeland war area and the occupied area. It is to be dropped by the bal- lones e.g. flyers •of the high voltage conductions destroyed or also the German flight operation disturbed. During the recovery several accidents have arisen by ignition of the hydrogen gas of the balloons. The population has therefore been instructed by the press to stay away from falling balloons, to attach floating balloons to and report to the nearest police station, as far as they possess a towing draught. The rescue of the balloons by police, military night and other authorities is ordered as follows: I. Description of the balloons: Balloons made of yellow elastic rubber or rubberized silk are currently used, their diameter is 2 - 3 meters. 1.) Balloon with round metal vessel and towing wire to interfere with high voltage lines. The metal vessel is used to adjust the plug height with the help of a petroleum-like liquid. It hangs directly under the balloon. 2.) Balloons with fliers or flints. On the balloon there is under a small rain protection tent a plywood plate or a cardboard disc with a diameter of 30 cm with glimmlunt, sand bags and leaflet bundles.
