156 ING.KARL KUCHINKA MAHR-ostrAU-1o, 12 April 1944. DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF THE WITZOWITZ (IEASENWERK) WITZOVITZER BERGBAU- und IRONHÜTTEN-WERKSCHAFT Dear Mr Oberlandrat ! I would like to inform you that Witkowitz has now received the instructions of Reichswerke AG for mining and metallurgy operations "Hermann Göring", Berlin-Halensee, which goes to the point that, with 1 May l-44, HGW-Stahl GmbH has to start its activities. In future, HGW-Stahl GmbH will be responsible for the entire purchase of raw materials and the sale of all products, except coal, coal and energy. It will take place instead of the existing factory purchasing and selling departments. According to the instructions received, HGw-Stahl is not considered to be a new trading company of HGW, but is exclusively the sales and raw material purchasing body belonging to each plant. The activity is carried out by branches with the individual workers. For the sale of the products of the group plants of the Witkowitzer Bergbau- und Eisenhütten-Gewerkschaft the office Witcowitz in Moravia-Oatrau is planned. In the sale therefore the offer, order confirmation, invoicing etc. is carried out by the office of Hcw-Stahl GmbH. The latter thus takes over the entire traffic of the plant, which is related to the sale, against the customer, authorities, associations, economic and fech groups, etc. The members of the company who have been involved in this work remain at their parent plant for the time being and are obliged to work for HGW-Stahl. According to the letter to Reichswerke AG for Berg- und Hüttenbetriebe "Hermann Göring", Berlin-Halensee, which is included in the review, I pointed out to the attention of the Director General Dr. Guido Schmidt that the entry into force of the activities of HGW-Stahl GmbH for Witkowitz depends on the fact that the addition of the Reichskommissar for the treatment of hostile assets is available and has also made it clear that this profound change of organization should also be submitted to the Minister of State Karl Hermann Frank for understandable information prior to its entry into effect. By asking me to take note of my message, I am with Heil Hitler 1 Anlage. Her very devoted Ninlimbn Herr Oberlandrat Dr.Gustav Jonak, Sds Deutschen Staatsministers, Moravian-Ostrava, Oberland Ratsamt.
