In this context, it must be pointed out that in the last few weeks the problem of Witkowitz- Hermann Göring-Werke has been discussed for the first time in further circles of the Czech working class. This fact can be seen as proof that for political reasons there is an urgent need for stable conditions in Witcowitz's leadership. Of the smells circulating in Ostrava and the surrounding area can be cited for illustration : General director Kuchinka had been arrested for opposition to Reichsdeutsche injunctions (seemingly triggered by the longer sick leave Director-General Kuchinca ) further : a larger commission from Berlin had arrived in Witko- witz and had found on inspection that various design plans for secret productions had disappeared, therefore the previous leadership was replaced by gentlemen from the Old Reich. Since the reappearance of Kuchinka, these rumors, which were apparently triggered by half-way discussions of various senior officials of the property, have declined somewhat. In any case, Czech circles have been following the development in Witkowitz for some time with increased attention.
