They can be assured that the works committees and managers, who are aware of their new role in a new era, will always find an open ear to their needs and concerns, and I will not miss anything to intervene where it seems necessary. On the other hand, there was no doubt that I have both the determination and the means of power to create order when it is necessary. I have taken up your statements today with particular interest. I do not want to regard them as empty words, but rather as honest and unreservedly pronounced and I am convinced of the honest will of your commitment. I therefore believe that the workers continue to be on their posts, that the new time understands and moves hands in the interest of their own future.
