1 IV/2 Za Prag, 5 February 1943 Ve r m e r k . Subject: Visit by Mrs. Winifred Wagner to Prague on 9 and 10 February 1943 here: "Bayreuther Bund und Frau Schmidt" The Bayreuther Bund e.V. was founded by Siegfried Wagner, the son of Richard Wagner, in the year l925. He was intended as a combat organization against the liberalist currents at that time, which also wiped out Bayreuth's thoughts in the sense of Wagner and his fellow fighters (H. St. Chamberlain, Wagner's son-in-law and Wolzug, etc.). The visit of the Führerg to Chamberlain at that period and - the famous prophetic letter Chamberlain to the Pührer is well known. The Bayreuth Federation then founded orta associations in all major cities in Germany and today has a wide network of such communities. Today, Otto Taube is at the head of the Richard Wagner School in Detmold. The local association Prague des Bayreuther Bundes was founded by Fraù Els- beth Schmidt (born la98 in Blumberg, Kreis Liebenwerder), the wife deg Rechtsanwaltsberaters at the state attorney's office in Prague, Karl Schmidt. During her training as a concert singer in Leipzig, she came to the circle of the Leipzig local association of the Bayreuther Bund, where she also met Siegfried Wagner. She later founded the Ortesverband Torgau, which she led for many years and from where she came in contact with the house Wahnfried and Mrs. Winifred. After the transfer of her husband to Prague, she founded in 1994 the Hilesige Ortsgruppe, which so far conducted several lectures and now, with the support of the German Music Society, for the very first time a big celebration on the occasion of the 60th anniversary. ==References====External links==* Official website
