7 and above all at the Faculty of Medicine and Science; at the Technical University, on the other hand, there is a particularly sharp drop in the number of practical work covered so far; perhaps this picture will be changed as a result of the planned follow-up. With regard to the number and scope of publications, the same reasons were used in previous years (vergl, report on the academic year I939/4o), i.e. the exceptionally strong use of all the forces remaining at the universities, the transfer and the expansion of the institutes, and the participation of numerous professors and lecturers in the solution of important tasks of war, which cannot be published on a natural basis. In addition, the necessary restriction on paper consumption caused a postponement of the printing of some larger works of knowledge after the war.
