8la at the Library of Technical Universities 30 Czechs and 3 Germans. People's culture has been informed some time ago in an oral discussion of the fact that a number of additional posts will soon be requested, namely about 4 other design posts, about 4 additional posts for middle-class officials and about 4 further office posts in class IV. In addition, it is possible in future to fill vacancies taken by Czechs for any reason with Germans. In view of the large number of staff already provided by the Czechs from the disbanded authorities, it will be advisable to apply for at the moment not much more than the posts now available to us, especially since the vacancies available to Germans are not yet all filled. In this connection, it is important to note that, in the context of the establishment plan, we have to respond to requests for the establishment of a new establishment plan and that applications may be submitted at any time to the Government of the Protectorate. With regard to the admission of former members of the disbanded Czech authorities, it should be noted that the Czech staff of the National and University Library increased by 58 to 160, the library of technical colleges by 18 to 46. However, these newly housed Czechs are mainly active in the field of lower employees. On the basis of the letter of 15 May 1940 mentioned earlier, the dismissal of a larger number of Czechs is to be expected. In January 1940, from one of the disbanded authorities, the two libraries were assigned, or - regardless of this date - proved to be technically or for other reasons not suitable for 19945.
