In his letter of 25 November 1939 to the Prime Minister, Mr. Reichsprotektor decided that the Karolinum and the University Archive would be immediately returned to the property of the German Karls University. As a result, at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of December 1 939, "the Ministry of Education and People's Culture, in agreement with the Ministry of the Interior and Justice, was decided to immediately transfer the property of the Karolinum and the University Archives to the ownership of the German Karls University and to speed up all necessary steps to achieve this." The communication that the archive "was seized by the Gestapo" should be corrected to the effect that the closure of the Czech universities at the end of last year at the building in which the archive has been kept for several years to this day, namely the Faculty of Law of the University of Czechia, has affected. The University Archive is currently in the care of the German Commissioner of the Czech Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Weizsäcker. The archives are no longer accessible to the Czechs since the building was closed, there is now a plan to put the A'chiv back in the Karolinum, where it was before and where it would be kept most meaningfully.
