The production quotas for the iron-processing industries of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, which have become ever smaller in the last quarters, had inevitably led to the acquisition of only limited quantities of iron and steel products in free trade. In particular, agriculture was affected, so that the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Labour's monitoring unit had to order, on several occasions, insufficient special clearances. In accordance with the new rules governing the quotas for the protection of the Third Quarter, agriculture now has a considerable number of quotas at its disposal, which are sufficient to meet the needs. The proposal submitted by Division VI to ensure the supply of agricultural equipment and hardware, in particular, by issuing special reference licences, has been adopted and will be carried out with effect from 1 July 1983.The reference licences will be issued to farmers at the request of the Association of Agriculture and Forestry in Bohemia and Moravia. The level of the subscriptions is in line with the level of that of the iron and metal industry group in the quarter for the production of these products.
