8f ACTIVITY AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE SETRSCR According to § 3 of its Statute, the South-Eastern European Society has the task of "to maintain, consolidate and strengthen German relations with the countries of South-East Europe and to establish bodies, institutes, societies, associations and other institutions which are related to the states of Southeast Europe or which deal with the economic or cultural conditions of these countries.
