Your ministry is concerned with the problem of compensation for the Witkowitzer border commuters, whose number amounts to about 8.ooo man, I hear that the frontier commuters should receive a compensation of 25%, which their enterprise pays out. The compensation will be replaced by the relevant employment offices by the respective enterprises, this scheme will take up place from May 3rd, 1939. At present, the approval of the Minister of Finance is still pending. My request now goes to the effect that you would accept it with regard to the political significance of the matter and that it should be speedily concluded. I would be grateful to you for a simultaneous corresponding presentation to the Minister of Finance.
