E The Head of the Justice Group Prague, 26 January 1942 I/9 £ 9044 Subject: Extension of the Wehrmacht hospital in Königgrätz. The Wehrmacht authorized representative has submitted to Mr. Secretary of State that the part of the chamber occupied by these authorities may also be released in favour of an extension of the hospital (4oo beds) which, according to his statements, can be made possible by transferring the said authority to the building of the Kriegsgericht. Mr. Secretary of State has ordered that this question be examined expeditiously, and the surveys initiated were as follows: 1.) Consultation with the Chief Medical Officer Dr. B. A. Oberstarzt Dr. Bader stated that other buildings would not be eligible for the extension of the hospital. The hospital in the Richthofenhaus has all the necessary facilities (operation hall, sterilization equipment, etc.) that can only be used for an extension* in the same building. The confiscation of a school, for example, would require a completely new facility. 2.) Consultation with Oberlandrat Schultz von Dratzig. In the opinion of the Oberlandrat, only the district court building in view can be taken out for a transfer of its authority in Königgrätz. However, the Oberlandsrat represented the point of view that on this occasion could be met by his often expressed wish to transfer the Ober Landratsamt to Stapo, Kripo and SD. from Königglätz to Pardubitz. As the seat of the Oberlandrat for the districts of Königgrätz and Pardubitz, the city of Königkrätz could be designated; until the establishment of an administrative building in Königglätz, the administration could take place from Pardubatz.
